AI Connectors
Grail can be added to supported Claude and ChatGPT workspaces so users can search assets, find transcript matches, and open the original media without leaving their AI chat.
This page covers the workspace setup flow for:
- Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise
- ChatGPT Business
Before You Start
Section titled “Before You Start”Make sure you have:
- a Grail account. If you are part of LCBC and do not have one, request an account through the Help Hub.
- access to the Claude or ChatGPT workspace where you want to use Grail
- the Grail connector URL if your workspace asks you to add a custom connector
Before connecting, sign in to Grail at https://vault.grailmedia.app/login and choose Microsoft SSO.
Use this connector URL:

Section titled “Claude”Claude supports custom remote MCP connectors on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. On Team and Enterprise, an owner may need to add Grail to the organization before members can connect it.

Open Claude connectors
In Claude, open Customize and select Connectors. On Team or Enterprise, an owner can first add Grail from the organization’s connector settings.

Connect Grail
Find Grail and click Connect. If Grail is not already listed, choose the option to add a custom connector and use the URL below.

Allow Grail’s search tools
When Claude asks for permissions, choose Always Allow for fetch and search.

Use Grail in a chat
In a Claude chat, select Grail from the + menu, or mention Grail in your prompt. For example:
Use Grail to find the clip where the speaker mentions grace and hope.
ChatGPT Business
Section titled “ChatGPT Business”-
Open ChatGPT Business settings
In ChatGPT Business, open your workspace Settings and select Apps.

Connect Grail
Find Grail and choose Connect. If your workspace asks you to add a custom connector, choose that option instead.

Enter the connector URL if prompted
Paste
https://vault.grailmedia.app/mcp, name it Grail, and save it. -
Allow Grail
Select Allow when ChatGPT asks you to authorize the connection. If Grail is not available in your workspace, ask a workspace owner or admin to add or publish it first.

Use Grail in a chat
In a chat, choose +, then More, and select Grail, or mention Grail in your prompt. For example:
Use Grail to search transcripts for "He is risen".
What Users Can Do
Section titled “What Users Can Do”Once connected, users can ask Claude or ChatGPT to:
- find assets by title, file path, tag, or media type
- search transcript matches by spoken words or phrases
- open the original asset in Grail from the returned result
- fetch more detail for a specific result when they want more transcript context

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The connector appears, but no one can use it
Section titled “The connector appears, but no one can use it”Confirm that the connector was added at the workspace or organization level by the correct admin role, then have the user open the connector and complete their individual Grail sign-in.
The connector cannot connect
Section titled “The connector cannot connect”Confirm that users can already sign in to Grail at https://vault.grailmedia.app/ in a browser.
Results are missing expected assets
Section titled “Results are missing expected assets”Check that the user has permission to access those assets in Grail. Connector results follow each user’s Grail access.
